Local Artists & Cal-Sag Cycles
December 2010-December 2011
The gallery's first space was a temporary installation in the windows of 12840 Western Avenue. These large windows sat empty for one year after a long time tenant moved down the street. First installing in December 2010, 12840 Gallery spent their first year in this space and featured four exhibits with six local artists.
During June 2011, 12840 Gallery happily shared this donated space with Cal-Sag Cycles, an earn-a-bike program for the local youth. On June 11, 2011, Cal-Sag Cycles hosted their one day grand opening that included a community bike repair shop and "Bike Craft".
